Exhibition ‘Dutch Design – Huis van Oranje’

In the summer of 2012, Oranienbaum Palace will be hosting an exhibition of contemporary Dutch Design and fashion in combination with historical artefacts from the Dutch Royal Archives. Built for Henriette Catharina, Princess of Anhalt-Dessau, Oranienbaum is part of the heritage of the House of Orange-Nassau. With a major conservation and refurbishment process nearing completion, the palace and its park have been restored to their former grandeur.

Several Wheelbenches and Glass Fruit bowls ( from the series: ‘The glass experiments at the Old Horn’ ) together with a DIY treehouse ( AANDEBOOM ) will be part of the Grand Summer Exhibition ‘Dutch Design – Huis van Oranje’ Oranienbaum Palace, April 26th 2012 till September 30th 2012

The ‘Tree Bench’ for the municipality of Amersfoort,

I actively used the environment and worked with the elements that the park had to offer: trees, city walls, paths, and grass. It is no challenge to just dig a hole and a install a bench. An ideal ( park ) bench needs the environment and the environment needs the bench too. To achieve that goal a bench contributes to the park as a walk, sit, rest, kiss, lie, meet, watch, dog walking, day-dream, stretch, run, think, decide, smoke and lunch spot

The ‘Tree-Bench’ ( treehugger – bench ) 2008 / 2011

Currently the bench is on show at the “Kunsthal KAdE” Amersfoort, The Netherlands from April 2 till may 8
